What we're looking for
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with solid experience in accounting and administrative activities, preferably gained within the retail sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate management of accounting and administrative activities, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with applicable tax and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities
- Manage general and analytical accounting activities, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Prepare accounting entries through to the pre-tax statutory financial statements
- Oversee accounting entries related to collections, payments, bank transactions, fixed assets, accruals, and deferrals
- Support the preparation of the annual financial statements and monthly closing activities
- Collaborate with the Administration team in managing tax and VAT-related activities, including F24 payments and periodic statutory requirements
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions
- Act as a point of contact for external consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Support the digitalization and optimization of administrative and accounting processes
- Potentially supervise and coordinate a junior team member
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within structured companies in the retail / large-scale retail (GDO) sector
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting and tax compliance requirements
- Good command of major accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is considered a plus
- Accuracy, autonomy, proactivity, and strong teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
